As I sit to write this email, I sense this authoritative part of me wanting to tell you what to do, how to be, what choices to make. It wants to direct you. It wants to dominate.
Yet, that’s not who I want to be…ever.
I apologize for “should-ing” on you. I am on this journey with you. It is not my intention to have a tone as if I “know better”. I don’t! And I deeply apologize for ever coming from that place.
My intention is to share ideas and practices that work for me.
I don’t like being should-ed on either. I feel like the word “should” should be deleted from our vocabulary. (see what I did there?) It diminishes our power of choice.
Our power of choice is gives us the freedom to follow what feels instinctively right for each of us as individuals. It allows us to go in the direction of an internal guide – our intuition.
We all have our own guidance system directing us. It’s our most valuable asset.
Today, I suggest we listen closely to our own guidance system. We ask it our most important questions. We seek its guidance. As long as we ask the questions, we trust the answers will show themselves.
And, I hope that I serve as a reminder of what each of us already knows and that today we step into the world as a team. I mean it when I say, the world really needs us now more than ever.
Shine bright. Love big. Check in.
Our Morning Practice
1. What are 5 things you can be grateful for?
2. Ask your Inner Guidance System these questions:
– Where would You have me go? – What would You have me do? – What would You have me say? – And to whom?
These questions are from A Course In Miracles.
